History of Krumm-tec

The success story of the Krumm company began in 1958 in the wine-growing village of Bahlingen am Kaiserstuhl, when Karl Krumm, a trained domestic technician, and his wife Anna Krumm founded their company. At first, the young company specialised in planning and repairing bathrooms.

In the 90s, the Krumm company demonstrates entrepreneurial inventiveness - in response to a customer's request to develop a method for cleaning with oil vapours that is safe for humans, the first manually operated cleaning system is created. In the following years, the company takes up the challenge of offering its customers individualised industrial cleaning booths.

The Krumm company focuses on its strength as a specialist for industrial cleaning solutions and expands its product range to include mould testing equipment and air filters. The increasing quantities, the need for different solvents and different cleaning methods require an industrial production of the cleaning equipment.

2002

With the growing product range of individualised cleaning solutions, the Krumm company finally develops from a craft enterprise into the industrial company krumm-tec. The turn of the millennium is marked by globalisation - the company focuses on the broad market and wins customers first in Germany, then throughout Europe and later internationally.

When the first companies begin to produce prototypes from plastic rather than aluminium, krumm-tec acts immediately and adapts to the new requirements brought about by the 3D industry. Former suppliers for the former handicraft business turn into customers overnight. The new market challenges the company to clean new materials such as polyjet or FDM.

The newly designed showroom not only serves as a presentation area, but also offers customers and interested parties the opportunity to see for themselves the quality and efficiency of Krumm cleaning systems. Various cleaning methods, such as air pressure or ultrasound, can be tested there.

With the CleanLine, we developed a modular cleaning system with which successive cleaning steps can be designed specifically according to the requirements of our customers. When planning the CleanLine, we not only aim for the optimal solution for the composition, but also for a suitable connection to the environment.

2016

The Krumm company moves. A new production hall, a factory building and a laboratory are being built in Ersteiner Straße in Endingen am Kaiserstuhl. The new building is supported by the special funding "Spitze auf dem Land" within the framework of the "Entwicklungsprogramm Ländlicher Raum".

2017

To coincide with the company's 60th anniversary, the move into the new building. With a production area of 2000 m² and 400 m² of office space the new location offers enough space for new products.

2018

With the Krumm Component Seperator, it is possible to separate components and construction material from each other. This creates process-safe, sustainable results in the field of SLS - selective laser sintering.
